Volunteers from SUNCOAST Casino Hotels & Entertainment paid a visit to the Chesterville Service Centre just outside Durban last week to spread a little love and goodies amongst the elderly in the community.

CHESTERVILLES SENIORS GET ALL THE SPOILS IN THE MONTH OF LOVE
Almost 50 members of the Chesterville branch of the Muthande Society for the Aged were spoilt with a sumptuous High Tea which included muffins, eclairs and an impressive Valentines cake. Each special guest also received a goodie bag of gifts.
The senior members of the centre gather frequently to socialize, take part in light exercise sessions led by the staff and keep themselves busy with song, dance and various craft-making projects.
Members love getting together to enjoy each others company, says Philisiwe Biyela, spokesperson at the Centre. They enjoy being out of the house and keeping active and entertained! This visit from SUNCOAST has been a highlight of the week for them and some members arrived especially early so they wouldnt miss out!
There were whoops of delight when the guests opened their Valentines gifts and in turn treated the SUNCOAST staff with songs of thanks.
It is always special for SUNCOAST to spend time with the senior citizens of Chesterville, said Louise Howell, SUNCOAST Marketing Manager. They have given so much to their families and the community over the years. February being the month of love is the perfect opportunity to thank them for their contribution and spoil them in return.
